SUN IS SHINING AND THE WEATHER IS SWEET... It seems to be a good habit to participate in weekend’s professional webinars. That`s what I did last weekend partaking in the webinar “Beating classroom stress during Covid 19”. Not only that I had a chance to meet colleagues from south-east Asia but also to get in touch with Pamela Seagal, who I met 5 years ago on Koh Samui (Thailand) and who happened to be my neighbor there. 🏡🙋🏼‍♀ Ms. Pam Seagal is the founder of the Emotionally Socially Intelligent (E.S.I.) KIDS programme in Singapore. She was the first who introduced me to the Social and Emotional Education and showed me how the “Feel” part can be incorporated into learning process as learning is not only about “Think” and “Learn” but also about developing emotional and social self-awareness, which is essential for everyone. 🎭👪 Teaching was always demanding occupation and these days it became even more demanding with the lockdown and having to adapt to online teaching reality. Mr. Karl D. Larowe, author of the book “You are good enough!", showed us several techniques that help cope with stress, compassion fatigue and negative emotions.🧘‍♀💟 During my daily walks in the park "Krasnodar" I made up my mind to allocate some time to practising self-compassion and mindfulness. It`s +25 degrees here. And if someone asks me what on earth I am doing here, I`ll tell them to have a look at the weather forecast. The weather is just exquisite.👒😎
